A few paintings and Happy New Year

 

It has been a few months since i have posted any paintings. I guess work has really taken a lot of energy this fall. Time to resume painting. These paintings are all challenged in many ways but the process is always evolving and i am always learning.

Friday evening i enjoyed viewing all of my blog friends posts,this is the result of the inspiration.

Distractions

The top painting is from my withering garden,thanks to extreme heat and lack of rain. I guess i could make the excuse that i have been doing a rain dance for two months,but there are so many other distractions and excuses; grand babies,books,dogs,walks.... The bottom painting is peaches and lemons painted this morning at the kitchen table since the both the back porch and my art room are boiling hot! I actually saw a grass fire on the side of the expressway.

Learning curve for sure.... Have a wonderful memorial day. We are enjoying warm weather an extended weekend and a beautiful new grandbaby Elle!
