The more I paint the less I know.... I generally begin a painting with a simple drawing , I consider color ,composition , what I want the picture to be about and what can I learn from
the exercise. But as soon as my paint brush dips into the paint color takes over and everything
becomes less relevant.Seductive and mesmerizing color is my captor.

I don't paint, but that sounds precisely like what happens when I sit down to write a poem.
Hi Angela and Ruth, I don't know what's happening to me... I think the rule don't apply to me? I can't control my impulses.
Absolutely know what you're talking about!!! Color gets me every time and just takes my thinking portion of my brain away.
When it comes to painting (especially watercolors) I don't think you should try to hard to control anything.
