Great colors, so exuberant! I like how you allow the paint to get very wet--but you don't lose the intensity of the color!
I seem to careen back and forth between spontaneity and planning--maybe it's good to feel comfortable with both?

Cathy, I forgot in my first comment to tell you I'm sad for the loss of your father-in-law. I know the memories of him must be comforting you and all his loved ones now.
I like the mix of pastel and watercolors. The painting is definitely exuberant! Its always a challenge to paint in a planned spontaneous fashion :)
