One never knows what will be the inspiration for a painting. While playing with watercolor pencils and paint i noticed how much i loved dark violet, fuchsia and light green next to each other. The painting is also inspired by day lilies from my mothers garden now planted off of my screened porch, bursting with daily flowers.

This is gorgeous Cathy. I love the color combination too and the free, light feel of it!
My lilies are all done, sadly!
This work truly brings out the fun and joy of playing with watercolors. Great work Cathy.
This is so beautiful...do you make your pieces into prints or cards?
Superb Cathy, just a slight hint, but you get the picture totally, beautiful fusions.
Wow! There's a lovely feeling of light to this xx
perfect! Says just enough!
Beautiful color effects and lovely painting! I admire the way you let the pigments do their own thing and resisted the urge (I'm sure you had it) to do more!
such juicy colors!!
This is really special - Gorgeous and bursting with light! It's fresh, clean and un-laboured and I love it :0)
