A funny thing happened on the way to the trash bin...

The top painting was all but gone when i started to play with a more expanded palette, i like the blue outlining the parts of the painting. Middle painting, was getting a bit to dull for my taste so i added watercolor pencil  and i think it added some zip.My grand baby needs a bit of blue under her nose. She is far to beautiful to paint and oh did i mention SWEET!

Learning to paint with acrylics is so challenging and really fun. Don't like it paint over it and practice some more. It's all new, paint selection, mixing, brushes and strokes. No doubt this piece will be history come morning. Maybe back to watercolor tomorrow... decisions,decisions!

Today i painted in acrylic,which is new and SO different than watercolor. I am still working on the pears and the mess on the bottom is well... learning to paint! Fun!

New Years Day painting

Another day another painting. I sketched this loose painting and used mainly Windsor Newton yellows,blues,greens and scarlet lake then added watercolor pencil.

A few paintings and Happy New Year

 

It has been a few months since i have posted any paintings. I guess work has really taken a lot of energy this fall. Time to resume painting. These paintings are all challenged in many ways but the process is always evolving and i am always learning.
