Hi Cathy! Welcome to the virtual sketch date!
I think you are being too tough on yourself. I don't see mud. I see wonderfully rich greens and bright oranges. Plus, part of the sketch date objective is to push us out of our comfort zone.
Hope to see you again next month.
Hi Cathy,
They look very lush and lovely. Well done!
Oh! I've done that lots of times - I drank it anyway, did'nt seem to do me any harm! Nice sketch, lovely colours.
Hi Cathy!
Even if the colors aren't what you were hoping for, these are still very expressive - lovely brushstrokes. They are very nice.
Ahhh..Cabernet. That explains those nice grape-y tones :)
I think these are quite colorful and festive.
I agree with the others, I do not see a muddiness here. All I see is wonderful color and brush work. I scrolled down to look at some of your other work and promptly added you to my RSS feed reader.
Your work is wonderful and very inspiring to me.
The others are right...no mud here. :) I think they are fantastic, and I am looking forward to seeing more of your paintings as you get them photographed.
Ah, the old brush in the cabernet! I've done it myself; in coffee too! Best switch to white wine while painting.
I also think you're too critical of yourself--something I have been trying to overcome too!
Your colors are very bright and lovely; you really got the impression of a thicket of leaves!
Cathy I really like it. Very nice bright colors. Nice crop too.
A little overworked, just like me...but still nice, just like you.
Why have some people been so hard on themselves?
Welcome to the show. This has been just a rich gathering of artist. VSD has been just as rich as your colors with the deep cabernet! VSD, allows us to have a studio class with many people and be our on Instructor, We all have learned..
Thank-you for your Artwork, lush colors.

You might need to take the your Brushes to therapy on how to identify paint. Ha! Ha!
