Dogwoods

After adding more darks,my fingers began to,"itch".I just had to grab some additional color, some zing. So I added yellow pastel then blue a finally periwinkle. I am still thinking that I may do something more? After all it's just paper.

Oh . . . the second image is especially sweet. Gorgeous colors together. Dogwood is such a unique flower. Do you have some in your yard? I always think of them as a southern tree, but I've seen some on campus and a few in people's yards here in MI.

This may be one of the hardest flowers to paint, but you've captured the essence of dogwood blossoms in the spring. Good job.

Thanks so much for commenting on my blog. Art Hearts Place. and yes, I'd love it if you added me to your list, I'd like to do the same, but can't find your 'follow me list.' ? for now I'll bookmark you. We both have that same itch. Have to add one more thing. Trying to let that go!

Are you keeping all your paintings and sketches in a sketchbook? You should! They are so pretty. :)
