I began painting the background first and sort of lost the sketch. My brain kept calling out, yellow pastel, and well once that happens I just can't stop. There are areas of color in this painting that I really enjoy a jumble of colors. The shapes and composition are a little less pleasing. More Lily's this week for sure.

Sometimes we have to know when to stop and that's hard - I liked it more with some open spaces like in the top photo - but there are some good abstracts shapes in there. Maybe we can pay someone to sit behind us with a hammer and hit our hands when it's time to stop?!? ha ha
Oh finally! yesterday i wanted to comment but it doesn't work, don't know why! i wanted to say that i love this painting but when i clicked on it and saw it bigger! that's great because you can see the details and technique which is quite interesting :)
Hi Rhonda, sometimes I am just more interested in color then anything else, the only problem is the painting still has to pull together:( I am also a little too impulsive.
Hi Lolly, I am really not all that thrilled with the paintings getting larger,it sort of distorts the painting, but it does help me go back and correct errors.
