chandelier completed

I decided to add more definition to the chandelier so I used gouache and ink. The colors are quite intense, but I still like them.
After a drive in the country I know I need to concentrate on a fall palette.

For me, it's the equal intensity of all the colors that works.

What a beautiful weekend it was!

I love the intensity of this! Marvelous job!

I really think the addition of the lines to give it a little more structure and interest was right on!

all your paintings a have an abstract and graphic feel.I just love it.You are not merely copying the object, but adding your own visual interpretations, which all good artists must do.It has to be diffferent than a photograph, which in your case is wonderfully different!!
keep it up.

Yes, I agree--the intensity is so appealing: an off-primary triad.
(Thanks for your comment re my absence, Cathy: still very busy caring for my parents--no time currently to paint, or even think about painting! Soon, I hope.)
