Points of interest

I have been working so hard lately i haven't been able to visit and comment on all of my blog friends posts.
I did manage to paint this pear painting. Actually the only thing that interests me about this painting are the stems. I have been thinking about trying a bit of collage or stamping or script. Something.... mainly i want something that is more interesting to me. Not sure what.
So happy it's the WEEKEND!

Hi Cathy , I know we're all in the same place at one time or another.. I love mixed media , collage, etc.. especially text on a piece. I've never done it on a painting, I'm such a purist, but I've been thinking more and more of it lately.. I always appreciate your coming by my blog. Thanks. BJ

Cathy your pears are just as spectacular as the rest of your paintings , you never disappoint in the coloring...such freedom. Love it.

Are you going to collage or stamp on this painting? Will be fascinated to see what you do!

I like very much how these bright but transparent colors interact with one another. I'm curious what you will do with the stems

I know you are so busy! It's good to see you painting. And this is so vibrant and beautiful, as always. I like the stems too!

Do you know Julie King's work? She does collages. Maybe you would get some ideas. I liked this one from yesterday:

She found an old book that was falling apart, and she clipped words from it, added them to her mixed media collage.

Who IS ever sure of what they want. I think your work would be quite interesting with some stamping or other collage techniques.

Give it a try. I look forward to what you come up with. You are always an inspiration to me.

Hi Cathy, I can't wait to see it finished! Stamping sounds great, and it is very loose and vibrant. Also, you won the Calla Lily painting from my giveaway. Yay! So, send me an addy and I will get that to you asap!
