More like what are you thinking painting the back of a chair and then putting it smack dab in the middle of a painting?? Actually a bit, well more than a bit, over worked. I must admit it was my inner child that whispered in my ear,Play, Play, and then there was that new tube of pthalo turquoise, hmmm.
Now that I think of it an appropriate title would be heaven or hell, with the crosses on the mantle and the fire below.

This is really different, i realy enjoy looking at it. Its in another world. Thanx for giving me a trip.
A view to heaven or hell? I vote heaven. I like this still life with - a spinning wheel?
I like how, for me, the objects in this painting only emerge after I look for them.
And I think it's wonderful that break the rules of composition--I often berate myself for automatically following them!
New Fan, I don't think you over worked at all. I like the boldness of the paint and all the texture you can see within. It makes a strong statement. Step away from the painting and frame it. :) Have a nice day, Deborah via www.artnsoulbydeborah.com Stop by for a visit I would love for you to follow me. :()
Your bold colours and bold brush strokes make this routine subject so interesting.
